This procedure guides you through the steps required to check the execution of a Business Logic Tier (BLT) component using the DALBLTTestClient application.
To check the execution of a BLT component using the DALBLTTestClient application
- On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.
- Execute the dalblttestclient command.
The System Selector dialog appears. - Select the desired system to connect to, and then select OK.
The DAL BLT Test Client dialog appears. - Depending on the location of the BLT component you want to test, configure the following:
- In the Host Name field, enter the desired host name.
- In the DAL Alias field, enter the desired Data Access Layer (DAL) alias.
- Select Refresh.
- From the Component Name dropdown menu, select the desired BLT component.
- (Optional) In the Display Name field, enter the name of a client application instance.
You can configure this field to simulate that the component was executed from an easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) or eXtended Editor (XE) session. For example, LS1PDCXOS1_TS1 (ezXOS) or LS1PDCXOS1_XD1 (XE).
- Select Execute.
- Using the Results and Log tab, confirm the results are as expected.
- To check the log file, navigate to C:\AVEVA\DNA\Shared\log.
