Test and Debug

You can use the test applications to ensure the component is communicating with the client. Since Business Logic Tier (BLT) components are not standalone executables, you need to use a client to test them. The dalblttestclient (or blttestclient) application is provided to assist you in testing. The blttestclient is only available when executing within the Common silo; however, the dalblttestclient is available from all silos. The client exercises the component and ensures that it is communicating properly with the client.

To test applications using the dalblttestclient application

1. On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.
   Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.        
2. Execute the following commands:
   set-silo Common
   dalblttestclient
