During runtime, the Web Client supports various layout display modes. You can change the layout mode of the Web Client while a ViewApp is running to override the default layout mode. See Set the default web display mode of the OMI Web Client for instructions to set the permanent default mode.

You can change the Layout mode by selecting the More (three vertical dots) command available in the Web Client App Bar to show a set of layout options.

Layout Mode

Description

Keep Aspect Ratio

A transform is applied to fit the layout within the client area of the web browser while maintaining the aspect ratio. This results in pillar boxing or letter boxing. Even font size will be scaled up or down proportionally.

Fit to Viewport

The layout is resized to fit within the available client area of the browser. This is similar to resizing width and height of layout in an OMI on-premise application. The layout does not show horizontal or vertical scroll bars.

Fit to Width

Layout width is set to the client area width of web browser and height is set to original height of the screen. This is the same as the user resizing the layout width in OMI on-premise application. There will never be horizontal scroll bar in this case. This is the default mode.

Actual Size

In this mode, layout width and height are set to the original width and height of the screen. The look and feel of the content will completely match an OMI on-premise application. Based on the screen size and web browser client area, there can be both horizontal and vertical scroll bars.
