AVEVA OMI includes the capability for developers to preview an OMI ViewApp from the ViewApp editor without deploying any associated assets. After selecting the Preview Web button, the ViewApp appears in the Web Client.

A ViewApp running in preview mode can run at the same time as the same ViewApp when it is deployed. A warning message is shown the user when an attempt is made to run another ViewApp when a different ViewApp is already running in preview mode.

Known Limitation with Preview Web Feature

At the time of this release, the Preview Web command in OMI View App Editor does not work very first time on a fresh install.

Workaround: Configure a deployed OMI View application to run in Web Client. This enables initialization of the Web Client on the node. The Preview Web feature will then work even if the ViewApp is not deployed.
