View a ViewApp in the Web Client

The following list shows the general steps in the workflow to launch and run a web-enabled ViewApp.

  1. From the System Platform IDE, deploy an AVEVA OMI ViewApp along with its related automation objects.

  2. Launch InTouch HMI Application Manager.

  3. Select the OMI tab and select a deployed ViewApp that you want to display in a web browser.

  4. Go to the Web Client tab.

  5. If you want, edit the Web Client properties and select Apply.

    The property values apply to the instance of the Web Client you are using to run the web-enabled ViewApp.

  6. Select Launch to run the ViewApp in a web browser.

The first time you view a ViewApp in the web browser, the layout and graphics referenced by the layout are converted to HTML format on the server. This is a one-time effort for the first user. After the layout, graphics, and other files get downloaded to the browser, they are cached locally for better performance the next time the user tries to view the same layout or graphics. If you do not see your latest graphics, clear the browser cache and refresh the page to load the latest version of contents.
