This section describes a known issue found in Application Server 2023 R2 SP2.

Issue ID

Description

5045344

After upgrading the GR node from SP 2023 R2 SP1 P04 to SP 2023 R2 SP2, data updates freeze, or object references in the runtime nodes (OMI or Intouch WindowViewer) that have not yet been upgraded do not resolve references from the upgraded GR node.

Workaround

If data updates in the client node are frozen, or object references fail to resolve from the upgraded node on the non-upgraded client node, restart the AVEVA Watchdog service to reinitialize the MxDataProvider service.

If a Galaxy includes AVEVA Workflow Gateway objects and SP 2023 R2 SP2 is applied on the node, you may see the following issues:

  • License acquisition failure

  • Deploy failure

  • System Platform IDE not opening with Aveva CONNECT SSO

Workaround

If you experience any of these issues, do the following:

  1. On the affected node, copy the following four files from
    C:\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Framework\Bin\AuthenticationProvider

    • Microsoft.Web.WebView2.Core.dll

    • Microsoft.Web.WebView2.WinForms.dll

    • Microsoft.Extensions.Logging.Abstractions.dll

    • PCS.Client.DataStore.dll

  2. Paste the files to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Framework\Bin

  3. Restart the node.

Note: These instructions assume that the default installation path was used. If a non-default path was used, copy the files from the applicable path.
