Important upgrade information

You can directly upgrade to System Platform 2023 R2 SP2 from System Platform 2023 or later.

Because System Platform 2023 R2 SP2 is scheduled for release after System Platform 2026, upgrades to System Platform 2026 are not supported. However, upgrades from System Platform 2023 R2 SP2 to later releases will be supported.

Migration of Application Server galaxies is supported from all versions, beginning with 4.5, and includes System Platform 2012 and later.

If your system includes components that require SQL Server, use a 64-bit version of SQL Server.

Install the required .NET Framework version. See System Platform prerequisites for details.

The upgrade process lets you upgrade only components that were previously installed. Until you have completed the upgrade, you cannot add components that were not already installed, and you cannot deselect components. That is, if a newer version of a component is included on the installation media, the previously installed component is automatically upgraded.

After the upgrade is complete, you can add new components or remove existing components, as needed. To enable Operations Control - connected experience, follow the instructions below, and refer to Galaxy migration to support connected experience before you connect to a galaxy.
