Status icons provide you with a visual indication of the connection status of your devices.

The device twin and edge device have been paired. |

Connected |
|
The device twin is paired with an edge device, and a connection is established. |

|
The device twin is paired with an edge device, but it has been disconnected for a duration longer than the timeout period. The default timeout period is 5 minutes. |
