Overview

AVEVA Events to CONNECT is an event data-collection component that collects JSON data from REST API endpoints as a Data source and transfers them to Type store, Assets and Graph API endpoints in CONNECT data services. AVEVA Events to CONNECT can also collect health information. It supports buffering, unsolicited data collection, on-demand or automatic history recovery of data items, and various Windows operating systems.

Fixes and Enhancements

Fixes

This release fixes the known issue in the previous release where only new assets could be created through the Events to CONNECT agent. This release supports updating assets through a PATCH call.

Enhancements

This release includes the following enhancements:

• The Edit, Save, and Cancel buttons on various tabs of the post install configuration plug-in have been removed. Selecting items immediately sends them into edit mode. Updates are saved when the Configure button is selected.

• The post install configuration plug-in includes an option to export a component's data ingress configuration.

• Various agent optimizations during restart and while sending data.
