System and OmfEgress logs

Messages from the System and OmfEgress logs provide information on the status of the agent. For example, they show if a connection from the agent to an egress endpoint exists.

Perform the following steps to view the System and OmfEgress logs:

1. Navigate to the logs directory:

   %ProgramData%\AVEVA\Adapters\EventsToCONNECT\Logs

   Example:

   A successful connection to a CONNECT data services egress endpoint displays messages similar to the following log:

   [Information] Adapter is using Stream ID Prefix 'MyStreamIdPrefix'.

   [Information] Starting Data Collection

   [Information] [DataCollection] Starting AVEVA Events to CONNECT.

   [Information] [DataCollection] Getting access token for https://localhost:7195/api/ endpoint was successful.

   [Information] [TestDataSourceConnection] OperationId: e64efbf9-b4f2-478e-9cb6-04a3b077e98d | Time taken: 834.6036 milliseconds

   [Information] [DataCollection] Data selection configuration was loaded successfully. 8 items have been found.

2. (Optional) Change the log level of the agent to receive more information and context. For more information, see Logging.
