Unable to start AVEVA™ Gateway Data Publisher

If AVEVA™ Gateway Data Publisher cannot start, it may be because the machine on which it is installed contains two versions of .NET (x86 and x64). AVEVA™ Gateway Data Publisher requires the x64 version.

To resolve this issue:

1. Open Edit environment variables from the Start menu.

2. On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.

3. Find the Path variable in the System variables group and click Edit.

4. Check if C:\Program Files (x86)\dotnet\ is on the list. If it is, make sure that C:\Program Files\dotnet\ path is before it.

5. Try to run AVEVA™ Gateway Data Publisher again.

Unable to run aveva.gdp.service.exe

If you are unable to run the aveva.gdp.service.exe file in the command prompt, make sure that the command prompt (cmd window) is opened using the administrator privileges.
