Staging Mode

Staging mode is your opportunity to evaluate the project before customers use it, and verify that problems are resolved before promotion to Training mode.
If a Staging-mode project is not yet configured, create a new project and select a Staging-mode system suite.
Overview

Test the project and then either:

If the changes are acceptable, then promote to Training mode.

If not, then you can modify the existing session from the Editing-mode project and then capture a new version. If the session is gone, then launch a new session and repeat the instructions in Editing mode.

To promote a project to Staging mode

Select the Projects tab.

For a project whose Mode is Staging, select Edit from the
menu.
The Edit project screen opens.

Click Next to open the Node configuration page.

For the appropriate node, change the image version to the recently created version.

Select the latest image version for the capturable node(s).

Click Next to open the Launch parameters page.

For each content repository, select the latest branch in each Branch menu.

Click Next to open to the Shutdown Behavior page.

Click Next to open the Confirm and complete page.

Click Update project.

When prompted that the update was successful, click OK.

Launch a session from the Staging-mode project to validate the recent updates to the system.

If the updates are acceptable, move the project to Training-mode.
