What are the preferred, supported, and not supported browsers for this platform?
-
Preferred: Google Chrome
-
Supported: Microsoft Internet Explorer 11, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge
-
Not supported: Apple Safari, Microsoft Internet Explorer before IE 11
What is the minimum supported screen resolution?
The minimum supported resolution is 1280x720.
If I create an empty project, can I add nodes to it later?
Yes. Projects can be edited after they have been created. From there, you can add/delete nodes.
If I create a node with no role, can I add software to it later?
Yes. Once nodes have been created, software can be installed manually. For convenience, if a node is created without a role, the installation software is located on drive C: for manual installation of the software.
How do I enable redundancy on my machines?
The first step towards enabling redundancy within a Project is during the creation itself. On the Redundancy tab, the Project must have multiple network interface cards (NICs) enabled. Once enabled, select which machines will have the multiple NICs. These nodes will then be able to be configured as redundant. Please refer to the following Tech Notes for their respective configuration:
368: Network Setup for AppEngine Redundancy
401: Fine-Tuning AppEngine Redundancy Settings
589: Common Application Server Redundancy Causes and Triggers

Can I change the IP address of my machines?
No. The maintenance of the IP addresses of each machine is managed by platform. Each machine is configured to use DHCP. Static IP addresses are not supported.
If I change the name of my node, will the change be reflected in the Manage section of my project?
Not at this time. A node may be added to an existing project by editing it and giving it the new name.
Can a project name be changed?
Not at this time. A new project will have to be created with the new name.
Is there a domain controller on my project?
Not at this time.
What operating systems and versions of SQL Server are installed on each type of node?

Do I stop using my personal or shared credits if I shutdown my VM from the VM operating system?
Yes. If a user shuts down the VM from the operating system, the underlying Azure framework will auto-deallocated VM resource and stop charge in 10 minutes.
Within the product, to avoid usage of credits towards machines that are not in use, the user should end the session.
Does the selected region affect the time zone on a VM?
No. All VMs have the same GMT time zone, no matter which region is selected when creating a project.
