Configuration change assessment

The connector checks the configuration change count by issuing a Command 0 request once every minute on the HART-IP device and sub-devices. The connector determines if the inventory count changed since the last assessment.

If a configuration change is detected, the connector inventories the HART-IP device and any sub-devices. Newly discovered items to be inventoried are reflected up to the PI System. Similarly, any attribute name or values changes are reflected up to the PI System. Any elements or attributes that have been removed from the inventory will remain, but will no longer be updated.

Note: The Command 0 request performed every minute is inexpensive and does not adversely impact gateway performance.
