Additional HART-IP advanced diagnostics

PI Connector for HART-IP provides the following advanced diagnostics for the connection information of devices:

  • Datasource Name

    Data source name as configured in the Data Source List.

  • Device

    Address and Long Tag name of the connected device in the form Address(Long Tag).

  • Status

    Connection status with the device.

  • Connected Devices

    Number of connected devices, including the gateway.

  • Scan Interval in Seconds

    The scan rate, in seconds, that the connector scans the connected devices for measurement data.

  • Last Scan Event

    Time of the last successful scan for measurement data.

  • Last Configuration Update

    Time of the last successful inventory of connected devices. A value of 12/31/1969 19:00:00.000 means that the connector has not been able to connect to the gateway and read the configuration.

  • Configuration Check Interval in Minutes

    The scan rate, in minutes, that the connector checks for configuration changes on connected devices.

  • Battery Life Check Interval In Days

    The scan rate, in days, that the connector reads the battery life of each connected battery-operated device. This check is best-effort; some devices may not respond to a requests for battery life.

  • Last Battery Life Check

    Time of the last attempt to read for battery life. A value of 12/31/1969 19:00:00.000 means that the connector has not attempted to read battery life from the connected gateway sub-devices; which can occur if the sub-devices are not battery operated (HART 5/6 as well as some adapter devices) or if the discovery operation did not detect any battery operated devices on the gateway.
