Connector access to Data Archive and PI Asset Framework (PI AF) servers is based on Windows Integrated Security.
Note: Configure security settings before starting the connector.
Configure security settings for connectors to provide the connector secure access to your PI System. Security must be configured to allow the connector to write to both the Data Archive and PI AF servers. For more information about configuring security, refer to the following:

Some data source protocols are inherently insecure. It is recommended that you review the security standards for your data source to determine the appropriate security measures necessary to secure your system.
