Create the PI identity to give the connector permission to write data to the Data Archive.

Launch PI System Management Tools (PI SMT).

Select Security > Identities, Users, & Groups, and then select the PI Identities tab.

Right-click within the pane, and then select New Identity.
The New Identity window opens.

Configure the settings for the identity.
The PI identity for the connector must have permission to write to the Data Archive.

Select Create.
