Learn about high Availability PI Server and AF Server (BIF)

In a traditional high availability PI AF configuration, if the primaryPI AF Server goes down, the interface cannot write to the PI AF secondary. AVEVA does not recommend that traditional configuration, but rather suggests using MS SQL Enterprise, or placing the PI AF Server behind a load balancer. Then if the primary PI AF Server goes down, the secondary can still perform the functions of the primary. See Configure failover.
