Deleting a Galaxy

You can delete a Galaxy. Deleting a Galaxy removes all of the Galaxy information from your computer.

Before you delete a Galaxy, you must undeploy all objects within it. For more information about undeploying objects, see Undeploying Objects.

Make sure you select the right Galaxy to delete. After you delete a Galaxy, you cannot undelete it. You can only recreate it by restoring from a backup. For more information, see Backing Up and Restoring Galaxies.

To delete a Galaxy

  1. Undeploy all objects from the Galaxy you want to delete.

  2. Close any Galaxy and connected IDE you have open.

  3. Start the IDE, or if you are connected to a different galaxy, select Galaxy from the ribbon.. The Galaxies page appears.

  4. Select the Galaxy you want to delete, except the connected Galaxy.

  5. Click the Delete icon Delete_galaxy_icon next to the galaxy name.

  6. At the prompt, click Yes.

  7. When the Galaxy is deleted, click Close.
