Enter login credentials from Connection Manager

If you connect to Data Archive by logging in as a PI user, then you must enter your user name and password for each Data Archive you connect to during each Excel session.

1. Configure a computer to allow explicit login prompts.

2. On the PI DataLink tab, in the Resources group, select Settings to open the Settings window.

3. Select Connection Manager to open the Servers window.

4. In the list of servers, right-click the Data Archive server that you want to connect to, and then select Connect As to open the Connect to PI Data Archive window.

5. From the Authentication list, select PI User Authentication.

   If the window does not show the Authentication list, then you must configure the computer to allow explicit login prompts.

6. Enter you user name and password, and then select OK.
