To connect Oracle to a non-Oracle system through DG4ODBC for Windows:

  • Install and configure the PI SQL Client ODBC driver on the computer where DG4ODBC for Windows is installed.

  • Configure Oracle:

    1. Configure the gateway init file (init*.ora).

    2. Configure Oracle Net for the gateway (listener.ora).

    3. Configure the Oracle database for gateway access (tnsnames.ora).

  • Create a database link.

    Note: DG4ODBC can be installed as 32-bit version or 64-bit version.
