PI SQL Client ODBC

Configure Oracle

  • Last UpdatedJan 04, 2023

To configure DG4ODBC for Windows, you must edit three files and restart the Oracle Listener. The files are:

  • init<sid>.ora

  • listener.ora

  • tnsnames.ora

The init<sid>.ora file references the System ODBC data source that you added in the ODBC Administrator. You manually add connection descriptors to tnsnames.ora, and then reference those in listener.ora.

Caution: An incorrect entry in these files can lead to connection failure.
