Item Browsing in the OPC UA Server Namespace

The OI Gateway supports the OPC UA connection as a client in the OPC UA server namespace to browse the data items. These items populate automatically in the Device Items tab for easy mapping.

To browse the OPC UA server

1. In the DeviceGroup Parameters tab, click Browse OPCUA Server.

   The OPCUA Tag Browser window appears.

   

2. Select a namespace in the left panel to display the corresponding device items in the center of the browser screen.

3. Select the name space (hold the Ctrl button to select multiple items), and click the down arrow to move the items to the lower portion of the screen.

4. Click OK.

   The selected items are displayed in the Device Items tab.
