Overview
The Enterprise Data Management (eDNA) to PI Migration Utility is a console application that allows you to migrate eDNA historical point data into the PI System.
The eDNA to PI Migration Utility offers the following features:
-
A setup kit that walks you through the installation process
-
A pre-migration tool you can use to read eDNA point configuration data into a CSV map file. The map file can then be used with PI Builder to generate PI tags on the target Data Archive.
-
Effortless migration of eDNA point data to a target Data Archive
Fixes and enhancements
None.
Known issues
The following items are known issues:
-
Unable to run migration against a machine set in a non-US region, when using local date-time format of DD/MM/YYYY. The workaround is to use the ISO-8601 date-time format.
-
In rare circumstances, the migration utility may create duplicate events for points and add them at the end of the time series. These duplicate events share the same value and timestamp. This issue can occur if the utility is run multiple times in a row from the terminal. The recommendation is to avoid running the migration command consecutively. Once the migrate command completes, review the latest values written for points to make sure there are no duplicates.
