Configure transport layer security

To run the eDNA to PI Migration Utility on an eDNA system configured with transport layer security (TLS), perform these additional steps:

1. Ensure that the machine running the eDNA to PI Migration Utility has the Enterprise Data Management User Client Tools installed.

2. On the machine running the utility, copy the following files from the eDNA install folder (default folder location is Program Files (x86)\eDNA) to the install location of the eDNA to PI Migration Utility (Program Files\PIPC\eDNAtoPIMigration):

   • EzDnaApi64.dll

   • EzDnaApiNet64.dll

     Note: Configuration of TLS on the eDNA server substantially impacts the performance of data migration from eDNA to PI. To achieve optimal performance during migration, we recommend that you disable TLS on the source eDNA system before migration.
