Install or upgrade the eDNA to PI Migration Utility

The eDNA to PI Migration utility can be downloaded from the customer portal. By default, the utility is installed in the PIHOME64 folder (C:\Program Files\PIPC), but may be modified at setup. Follow these steps to install the eDNA to PI Migration Utility:

1. Download the eDNA to PI Migration Utility from the AVEVA customer portal.

2. Run the eDNA to PI Migration Utility as an administrator.

3. Follow instructions in the setup wizard.

   Note: The .NET Framework 8.0 runtime is required to install the eDNA to PI Migration Utility, but not included in the installer. You can download the runtime from Microsoft’s .NET 8.0 Runtime download site and then install it before installing the eDNA to PI Migration Utility.

   Make sure to verify that the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables package is installed during the installation of the eDNA to PI Migration Utility. In the event it is not installed successfully , you will need to download the package from the Microsoft download site and then install it.
