Bounding box properties

Bounding Box (Bbox) is a strategy that loads new data when the map is zoomed and limits the geographic extent of the data when tiled. The map widget's maximum bound attribute constructs a bounding box to restrict the viewable area within a map that can be shown by user's screen viewport, regardless of the map zoom level.
Rather than restricting the viewable area of a map to the area strictly within the bounding box, the map widget enables users to extend the screen viewport to its center point beyond the borders of the bounding box.
When a zoom level is set to a very low percentage to show the maximum map area, a bounding box does not significantly reduce the viewable map area because moving the center of the screen viewport to the border of a bounding box is likely to show the majority of the map.
Specify the zoom level percentage ranges of the layers of your map to minimize the amount of zooming or panning required to see the entire area within the bounding box. Set the zoom percentage layer ranges more narrowly to be able to show assets at different map layers with reduced zooming and panning.
If you specify a bbox in the features section, all features will be clipped to this bounding box, so at every zoom level, the geographic extent of the tileset will be limited in the same way.
