Federated Identity Provider

AIM service is configured to federate user authentication with CONNECT. It enables the user to configure external Identity providers like Microsoft Entra ID and CONNECT under the new Federated Provider Plugin available when installing PCS 8.0 or later, and there is no installation of System Platform 2023.

• Providers can be created with the Configurator plugin or with PowerShell commands.

• Federated external provider plugins will be disabled if System Platform plugin 2023 is installed.

• Federated external providers are only available to configure if SMS or RSSO nodes are configured.

  Note: Not all AVEVA products support authorization using federated identity providers. Refer to your product documentation to see if this feature is supported by your product.
