The following table describes the provider options available.

Option

Usage

None

Deletes all configured identity providers. Only user accounts configured in AVEVA Identity Manager can authenticate.

You can use local Identity Providers such as Windows authentication or product-specific security. In this mode, AIM can authenticate operating system (OS) users.

Microsoft Entra ID

Configures Microsoft Entra ID as the identity provider and deletes any other configured providers. User accounts configured in AVEVA Identity Manager and/or Microsoft Entra ID can authenticate.
To use this option, you must obtain the endpoint, client ID, and client secret, and then enter these values in the configuration fields.

CONNECT

Configures CONNECT as the identity provider and deletes any other configured providers. Only user accounts configured in AVEVA Identity Manager and/or CONNECT can authenticate.

To proceed with CONNECT, you must configure the System Management Server.
