Install the Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) buffer Microsoft SQL Server database

Before You Begin

• Ensure there is no existing Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) database on the same Microsoft SQL instance.

  If an EFM database already exists on the same Microsoft SQL instance, create the following:

  • A new instance of Microsoft SQL.

    For assistance in creating a new Microsoft SQL instance, please contact AVEVA Customer Support.

  • The required EFM (buffer), Utilities, and DPP databases.

• If you have Data Payload Processor (DPP) configured on the system, ensure that you install the EFM Buffer database in the same Microsoft SQL instance as that of the DPP database.
