Configure the data gateway endpoint URL

Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, see Modifying Configuration Settings.

EndpointURL is the base address for the data gateway endpoint. The data gateway is a web service through which the Measurement Advisor client accesses the database to execute stored procedures.

Structure the URL as follows:

https://measadv.connect.aveva.com/<Region>/datagateway/api/v1/measconnection

Where:

• <Region> = The geographical location in which the Measurement Advisor tenant is provisioned. The system automatically creates the association between the service and the region when you enable the service in CONNECT.

Follow the procedure below to determine the region value to use based on the region selected in CONNECT.

Determine the region information in CONNECT

1. Sign in to the CONNECT portal.

2. Select Folder Management.

3. Select the desired folder.

   The system displays the details and services for that folder.

4. If the Measurement Advisor service is off, proceed to step 5.

   If the Measurement Advisor service is on and the tenant has been provisioned, the system displays the region information under the service.

5. Proceed as follows:

   1. Turn on the Measurement Advisor service.

      A region selection dialog opens.

   2. Select the desired region.

   3. Click Save.

The following table shows the list of supported regions and the associated values to use for the EndpointURL configuration.

By default, the EndpointURL setting is configured to connect to the us-east region. To connect to an endpoint in another region, you must override the setting with one of the above values.
