  • Last UpdatedNov 19, 2024
  • 2 minute read

The Advanced Diagnostics tab contains a list of reports that provide detailed information on the connector.

Note: PI Connector for CygNet 1.6.14 supports PI points for CVS Value Instrumentation and VHS Value instrumentation. The name of the asset is name of the data sourceInstrumentation. For example, if the name of the data source is Datasource, the name of the new asset is DatasourceInstrumentation.

All values in the instrumentation are stored into PI points for historization. For more information, see Appendix: Supported attributes.

CVS Value Instrumentation

CVS stands for current value service.

  • DatasourceName

The name of the data source.

  • Clients

The number of CVS clients per data source.

Note: The number of CVS clients results from the following equation: Number of CVS points/5,000. For example 10,000 CVS points/5,000 = 2 clients.

  • ScanTimeSeconds

    The scan time in seconds.

  • TotalPoints

The total number of CVS points.

  • LastDataEvent

The date and time of the last CVS data event.

VHS Value Instrumentation

VHS stands for value history service.

  • DatasourceName

The name of the data source.

  • Clients

The number of VHS clients per data source.

Note: The number of VHS clients results from the following equation: Number of VHS points/1,000. For example, 10,000 VHS points/1,000 = 10 clients.

  • ScanTimeSeconds

    The scan time in seconds.

  • TotalPoints

The total number of VHS points.

  • LastDataEvent

The date and time of the last VHS data event.

Buffer Disk Usage

The following reports contain diagnostic information used by Tech Support only:

The Buffer Disk Usage report contains the following information about data that has been collected but not yet sent to the target destination.

  • Name

The name of the buffer disk.

  • CurrentDiskUsageMB

The amount of disk space currently used by a buffer file. The connector allocates buffer files on startup and when it needs additional buffers. The size of the buffer file is not an indication of the amount of buffered data.

  • MaxDiskUsageMB

The maximum amount of disk space for buffers.

  • PercentDiskUsed

The percentage of total disk space being used.
