The default database is displayed when PI System Explorer opens for the first time. After the first time you run PI System Explorer, it will display whatever database was open when you last closed PI System Explorer.

  1. On the PI System Explorer toolbar, click .

  2. In the Select Database window, right-click a database and click Set as Default Database.

    A check mark icon () is displayed over the database icon that is now the default.

  3. Click OK.
