Deletion of elements, notifications, and analyses

When you an element is deleted, any notifications and analyses that target the element are also deleted. If you want to repurpose a notification that is attached to an element, make sure to save the notification before deleting the element.

How to keep notifications and analyses from deletion

To prevent any notifications and analyses from getting deleted when the targeted element is deleted, use the AF Diagnostics (afdiag) utility to run the following command:

Be aware that disabling this setting can cause the following problems:

• Notifications are left open (and remain active)

• New notifications are not created

• Expected emails are not sent
