Use the Security Configuration window to manage access permissions for PI AF identities that can work with analyses or analysis templates.
For information on specific permissions that are needed to work with analyses, see List of access permissions.

In the Elements browser, select the element that contains the analysis.

Click the Analyses tab.

Right-click the analysis name and click Security.
Configure access permissions for an analysis template

In the Library browser, select the element template that contains the analysis template.

Click the Analysis Templates tab.

Right-click the analysis name and click Security.
Configure access permissions for all analyses in a PI AF database

On the toolbar, click Database.

In the Select Database window, right-click the database name and click Security.

In the Security Configuration window, clear the Item check box above the Items to Configure list.

Select the database - Analyses item.

On the toolbar, click Database.

In the Select Database window, right-click the database name and click Security.

In the Security Configuration window, clear the Item check box above the Items to Configure list.

Select the database - Analysis Templates item.

In the Identities list, review the identities and validate their permissions. You can also add to and remove an identity from the list, as described in Configure security for objects.

In the Child Permissions section, choose one of the permission inheritance options. For more information, see Understand permission inheritance of element objects.

Optional. To view all of a user's access permissions on items in PI AF based on his or her current PI AF identity mappings, click the Effective Access tab.

Optional. In the Domain User field, enter a user's Windows domain name whose permissions you want to view.

Optional. Press Tab or Enter to validate your entry.

Click OK.
