Install manually or for a single user system

The process for installing PI SQL Client JDBC manually or for a single user system is the same. Use the manual installation if you cannot gain root privileges or if the install script does not work in your environment.

Extract the compressed archive file. See Extract the PI SQL Client JDBC files.

Use an export command to define the CLASSPATH system variable, such as export CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH:/home/user1/sql/sql client/jdbc/PISQLJDBC.jar:.

OSIsoft recommends that you define the CLASSPATH system variable in the user profile or system profile. The .profile user profile file is located in the user home directory. You need to set hidden files to display to see the file.
