Download files from the VM

Users can transfer files to and from AVEVA Simulation in a running, connected session through FTP and through the network drive. Verify that the Internet connection is stable before starting a file transfer.

To download a file from an AVEVA Simulation session to your local VM or computer

1. Connect to the session.

2. In File Explorer, expand the This PC menu.

3. Locate the network drive.

   The file is in this drive in the format <drive name> on <first name.last name>.

   For example, S2W335SCN on asim.learner.

4. Drag and drop the file from the running session to your local VM or computer.

   If the download process does not start automatically:

   1. Close the browser window

   2. Reconnect.

   3. Repeat Steps 2-4.

The associated intermediate network drive in the session is temporary. Each connection creates a new intermediate network drive. As long as the browser tab or session remain open, the drive's files and folders remain available.

To download multiple files

5. Compress the files into a package.

6. Follow the download procedure with the compressed package.
