AVEVA™ Simulation

Initiate a VM pool

  • Last UpdatedMar 19, 2025
  • 1 minute read

When the administrator logs into CONNECT and enters the AVEVA Simulation solution, the application versions are displayed. Each application version is linked to a virtual machine (VM) Pool. Administrators can choose which application versions are enabled, after which, the application's VM pool is automatically initialized.

Default VM pool configuration

  • The VM pool number is 0.

  • The VM pool region matches the latest version of the AVEVA Simulation image.

  • The VM pool schedule default is none.

This field is enabled when the standby VM is greater than 0 and the default schedule is Custom schedule.

  • The VM pool timeout deallocates the VM session after 30 minutes of inactivity (due to user abandonment, browser window closure, or disconnection).

When this occurs, the system backs up the user's data and deletes the VM.
