AVEVA Simulation backup folder

AVEVA Simulation uses persistent cloud storage to maintain simulation files between sessions. Each user of each product version has a cloud storage folder. These are synchronized with each AVEVA Simulation session when they start and when they stop. Files that persist beyond the session are kept in C:\asbackup on the AVEVA Simulation session. A shortcut to this folder, named ASBACKUP, is kept on the desktop.

Notes

AVEVA Simulation does not save:

• Modifications to the AVEVA Simulation session

• Files kept outside of C:\asbackup

C:\asbackup is the default working folder for PRO/II Simulation and Process Simulation.

Dynamic Simulation does not automatically save changes to the simulation. To avoid losing work when a session ends, it is recommended that users frequently save the simulation.
