Update a VM pool

Two situations trigger the virtual machine (VM) pool to update:
-
An administrator deploys a new version of the base image.
-
An administrator changes the pool's regions.
The VM pool update creates a new batch of VMs to replace existing unallocated VMs. The update does not affect any VMs that are allocated to a user. Any change in numbers, idle time settings, or schedules does not affect the VMs in the existing pool.
The update is one-for-one, which means that when a new machine is successfully created, the old one is replaced. During this period, unallocated machines (including old image versions) in the VM pool can still be used.
