Security configuration for Power BI

To configure security for PowerBI:

  1. Ensure the Galaxy is undeployed and no objects/templates are checked out.

  2. Navigate to Galaxy>Configure>Security.

  3. In the Authentication mode tab, ensure OS User based is selected and users are added with Administrator privileges.

  4. Select Credentials tab.

    Add credentials for PowerBI

  5. Select Add icon and add Named Credential with Name as "PowerBIUser" and Type as "Domain, Username and Password".

  6. Under Details section, add Username and Domain value.

    • The Domain value should be Domain key.

    • The Username value should be Username key.

  7. The values for Domain, Username, and Password are given below:

    • Domain: b7ef8c58-437c-47a2-a6e2-332a1f66d30b

    • Username: 18ded489-98ca-4332-b80f-26abfb537a1e

    • Password: kbr8Q~fnq_ydn7nqw6IvJB9TP~IuVOBRNl79bbNS

      Note: The credentials will be changed in the future.
