Install PCS PI Data provider
To install PCS PI Data provider:

Install PCS PI Data provider on all the Application server nodes.

Download the PCS PI Data provider installer from Deliverables\InstallFiles\PCS.PIProvider-Installer folder.

Run Setup.exe file to install the PCS PI Data provider.

In the next dialog, read and accept the license agreement and then select Next.

Select the following components to install in a specific destination folder. By default, the Destination Folder is located C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArchestrA\Services.

PCS PI Data provider

PCS Browser
-
PCS Navigation

Select Next.

Select Install to continue with the installation.

Select Finish after the installation is done.
The PCS PI Data Provider is successfully installed.
After installation, the files are available in the following location:

PCS PI Data provider service: <Install Drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArchestrA\Services.

PCS Browser: <Install Drive>:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\PCSPIDataProvider\PCSBrowser.
-
PCS Navigation: <Install Drive>:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\PCSPIDataProvider\PCSNavigation.
Install Root CA certificate
To connect to PI Web API, obtain the Root CA certificate. You can either export the certificate from the server or obtain through your browser by navigating to PI Web API page. After you have obtained the Root CA certificate, add the certificate to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
Manual installation of Root CA certificate

Double-click on the .cer file.

On the Certificate dialog box, select Install Certificate to start the Certificate Import Wizard.

On the Welcome page, select Next.

On the Certificate Store window, select Place all certificates in the following store and select Browse.

In the Select Certificate Store dialog, select Show Physical Stores.

Double-click Trusted Root Certification Authorities, select Local Computer, and then select OK.

On the Certificate Store window, select Next.

On the Summary screen, review the details and select Finish.
Install Root CA certificate from PowerShell

Run the following command in PowerShell as Administrator:
Import-Certificate -FilePath "C:\path\Cert.Cer" -CertStoreLocation cert:\LocalMachine\Root
