Debug log file and report log file

The options file can specify the license server debug log file (ipassi.log) and report log file (ipass.rl) using the DEBUGLOG and REPORTLOG commands respectively. It is recommended preceding the debug and report log paths with a "+" character to append logging entries; otherwise, the log files are overwritten each time the daemon is started. Also, path names that include spaces have to be enclosed in double quotes. The default content of ipassi.opt is displayed as follows.

Note that all the lines that start with ‘#’ are comments and not effective. The optional parameter HIDE_USER at the end of the REPORTLOG command can be specified so that any user names will be SHA2 hashed before being written to the encrypted REPORTLOG. To enable this option, simply remove the ‘#’ from the third line above, add a ‘#’ to the beginning of the second line, save the options file, and restart the license server.
