Install AVEVA Licensing System

The AVEVA Licensing System is supplied via the AVEVA Knowledge & Support Center website. The download contains an installable version of Microsoft’s .NET Framework. Also included is the Installation instructions, it is recommended that you carefully read all of the Installation instructions before installing the software.

Note:
Windows should be patched up-to-date before attempting the AVEVA Licensing System installation.

This version of the AVEVA Licensing System will install over the top of a working AVEVA Licensing System 5.0, 4.3, 4.2, 4.1, 4.0, 3.0, 2.0, 1.3, 1.2, 1.0 or 1.1.1. Your existing license file and logs will be preserved when upgrading.

• If you are upgrading from AVEVA Licensing System 5.0, 4.3, 4.2, 4.1, 4.0, 3.0 or 2.0, your existing license file can be used with this version of AVEVA Licensing System.

• If you are upgrading from AVEVA Licensing System 1.3, 1.2, 1.0 or 1.1.1, you will need to obtain a new license file to continue working. Your existing license file will not work with this version of AVEVA Licensing System.

This version of the AVEVA Licensing System WILL work alongside any other RMS servers, for example, AVEVA laser modeller.

This version of the AVEVA Licensing System supports installation of redundant server licenses.

It is NOT POSSIBLE to combine another RMS product’s license keys with this RMS server.

There are two methods available for installing the AVEVA Licensing System:

• New Installation of the AVEVA Licensing System

• Upgrade a Previous Version of the AVEVA Licensing System
