Generate ALS Server Locking Criteria

You must generate an ALS locking server criteria file to obtain a new license file.

By default, a file named AVEVA-Server-HOSTNAME-info.txt is generated when the AVEVA License System Console is opened for the first time. The generated file is located in the ALS installation folder. For example, C:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\AVEVA Licensing System\RMS\Tools.

To launch the AVEVA License System Console, in the Windows Search field, enter aveva license to display the best match.

Select AVEVA License System Console.

Alternatively, if the file is not available, you can generate the ALS locking server criteria file manually.

Navigate to the ALS installation folder. For example, C:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\AVEVA Licensing System\RMS\Tools.

With the left mouse button, double click the AVEVA-Locking.bat file to generate a file named AVEVA-Server-HOSTNAME-info.txt.

Note:
In some cases, when using a LAN network card or a docking station, a 'locking code mismatch' error is received during license file installation. Refer to the AVEVA Licensing System User Guide for further information.

The example displays the generated AVEVA-Server-HOSTNAME-info.txt file output.
