When the PI System Connector is restarted or when PI Tags are newly added for data collection, the connector performs history recovery to retrieve events. Under certain conditions, the connector can resend a previously archived snapshot value to the destination PI Data Archive due to an overlap between history backfill and real-time data pipe updates See Knowledge Article 000100095 for additional information. |

The PI System Connector User Interface does not always update after the final History Recovery status is sent. Workaround: Refresh the browser to view the correct information. |

When a database is initially imported, new reference types are created and the connector is receiving individual creation events that prompt correct reference types to be created and populated with a corresponding allowed parent template. A separate update event to a reference type follows a few moments later, which results in allowed parent template fields to be switched. Workaround: Modify any field on the source template. The connector will resync the values. |
