Install Request Connector to Autosol Communication Manager Servers in the SCADA Zone

The Request Connector component of the AVEVA Measurement Advisor Data Connector for Autosol Communication Manager (ACM) monitors AVEVA Measurement Advisor for new or updated gas quality data and downloads it to Autosol Communication Manager.

Prior to installing this component, select or create an appropriate user account to run the Request Connector service. This user account will also be used to secure the file folders containing sensitive configuration information. It is recommended to create a new user account for this purpose. Either a local user or domain user named "AVEVADataConnector" is suggested.

Note: The following steps require Administrator privileges.

  1. Download and extract the media.

    The media package consists of the following items:

    • Product folder: This folder contains a) the MSIs (product components) and b) the _Versions.txt file listing the product component version numbers.

    • ThirdParty folder: This folder contains all third-party components.

    • Setup.ps1: The script used to install the product on your system. For information on the various parameters, refer to About the Setup.ps1 Parameters.

  2. Start a PowerShell session as an administrator.

  3. Execute the following command:

    Set-Location -Path <LocationOfMedia>

    For example:

    Set-Location -Path C:\Media\

  4. Execute the following command:

    .\Setup.ps1 -FeatureList "AVEVA Measurement Advisor Data Connector Service" -NonInteractive

    This system output appears:

    Installing selected features

    Installing AVEVA Measurement Advisor Data Connector Service

    Installation Successful

    Selected features have been installed successfully

  5. Using File Explorer, navigate to the drive where the software is installed, and then create the %DNADataRoot%\ACM directory.

  6. Using File Explorer, navigate to %DNADataRoot%\ACM, and then create a folder called config.

  7. Using File Explorer, navigate to %DNADataRoot%\ACM\config, and then create a folder called Settings.

  8. Using File Explorer, navigate to %DNADataRoot%\ACM, and then create a folder called log.

  9. Continue with Install Data Connector Core and Support to DMZ Servers.
