AVEVA™ Measurement Advisor Data Connector for Autosol Communication Manager

Monitor Data Transfers

  • Last UpdatedAug 27, 2024
  • 2 minute read

AVEVA Measurement Advisor acts as the process monitor for all of the data download or upload processes performed by AVEVA data connectors to third party systems. This includes processes for multiple SCADA systems if the Measurement Advisor instance receives data from more than one SCADA system.

If CD_USE_SCADA_DATA_CONNECTOR is set to "Y" in AVEVA Measurement Advisor, the Scada Process List is visible and provides the status of the AVEVA Measurement Advisor Data Connector For Autosol Communication Manager (ACM), including information on the following:

  • The Request Connector process, which sends gas quality data to the Autosol Communications Manager.

  • The Database Process agent, which transforms the ACM data being sent to AVEVA Measurement Advisor.

  • The Data Connector process, which sends data to AVEVA Measurement Advisor.

View Scada Process List

  1. Open AVEVA Measurement Advisor.

  2. Select Admin > SCADA Processes.

    The Scada Process List displays.

If a process has not checked in recently, its row is highlighted red.

  3. To view more details about a process, right-click on its row. From the popup menu, select GQ Downloads. For more information, see Scada GQ Downloads.

  4. To delete a row, select the row to highlight it, and then select Checkout.

The Checkin Threshold can be changed on the screen. The default is one hour.

    status

    A progress indicator.

Y = indicates the process is currently working on a batch of data.

N = indicates the process currently does not have any work to do.

F = indicates a problem has occurred, and the user should log into the process and investigate. In general,

    • For Request Connector processes, another process may have taken over the download.

    • For the MonitorMeasBuffer process, a transformation error has occurred.
