After adjusting the folder permissions, you need to set the local policy to Deny log on locally for the user running the services (typically, this will be AVEVADataConnector).

  1. Start a PowerShell session as an administrator.

  2. Run the following:

    secpol.msc

  3. Select Security Settings, select Local Policies, select User Rights Assignment and then Deny log on locally.

  4. Select Deny log on locally, and right-click to select Properties.

  5. On the Deny log on locally Properties window, select Add User or Group to add AVEVADataConnector to the policy.

  6. Select OK.
