New features and enhancements

Recommended SQL Server Version: The recommended version of Microsoft SQL Server for DataLayer server installations is now 2019. This is due to previous versions being past or near the end of mainstream support by Microsoft.

Performance Improvements: Performance improvements have been made to the DataLayer commit operation. The most notable improvements benefit the commit of large models with large databases (over 200 gigabytes). In some scenarios, the time needed to complete the operation was reduced by 50 to 70%.

Multiple Model Deletion: In the Models page of the DataLayer administration website you can now delete multiple models at once:

1. Choose the models you want to delete by selecting the check box at the beginning of each row.

   

2. Click the Delete selected models icon in the top left corner of the table.

   The Delete Models page opens, with a list of the models selected for deletion.

3. Click Delete to confirm or Back to List to cancel.
